I had a very rapid labour at home. I really wanted a low intervention home birth, but the speed at which my daughter came into the world was a bit of a shock, particularly as she’s my first child. Virginia was incredible. Her presence was one of gentle confidence, respect and loving intelligence. My husband and I felt in the safest of hands as she helped move and shift me through the transitions of birth. She also managed to take some amazing photos and videos of the birth that I treasure.

Your energy that you carry was exactly what we needed by our sides in those final hours of labour, nothing fazed you and you brought calm when it was needed so I can't thank you enough for that.

I’m Virginia. I’ve been a midwife since 2009 and I’ve spent years working in NHS community midwifery right here in Brighton and East Sussex. I know the teams at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Princess Royal Hospital and Conquest Hospital, how they work, who they are, and they know me.
